Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, is ready to exhibit and celebrate the richness and diversity of its culture through Keraleeyam. This seven-day-long celebration will see a multitude of events, trade fairs, exhibitions, film festivals, book fairs, and a food fest. Commencing from Wednesday, the state government has made this arrangement to present the essence of Kerala's unique traditions and specialties to the world.

Trade Fair Showcasing Kerala's Indigenous Products
The trade fair, to be staged at eight key locations across the city, will display a wide variety of indigenous value-added products of Kerala. From ayurveda products, coir, and handloom, to arts and crafts, domestic and solar products, customers will have the opportunity to buy directly from the manufacturers. The fair will be a golden chance to explore and understand the artistic product manufacturing of Kerala.

A Cultural Bonanza – Film Festival and Other Events
As part of Keraleeyam, around 100 films will be screened at different theatres in the city during the Film Festival. The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and State Film Development Corporation have decked up the stage to run classical Malayalam films and other masterpieces. Apart from the films, a number of other cultural events will be conducted across the city.

Deliciously Kerala - Food Festival
An event that truly captures the spirit of Kerala, the food festival will showcase the distinctive flavours of the region. From street foods to five-star dishes, the festival will host 150 stalls featuring a whopping variety of over 3,000 dishes.
In an effort to bring about a social change, several seminars will be organised during the event on various social issues. Over 200 experts will engage in discussions about gender justice, elderly welfare, land reforms, rights and welfare of workers, education and Kerala's handling of the Covid pandemic.
