Kerala Trains Diversion: Check out the List of Trains to be Diverted in Kerala Due to Maintenance Work

Trains in Kerala will experience temporary diversions, extra stops, and delays due to track renewal work being carried out at the Ernakulam Junction railway yard, according to the Railways. a result, some scheduled stations will be skipped, while temporary stops will be provided at other stations for passenger convenience.

List of Kerala Trains to be Diverted

• The Guruvayur-Chennai Egmore Daily Express (16128), departing from Guruvayur on May 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, and 26, will be diverted through Kottayam between Ernakulam Town and Kayamkulam Junction. Temporary halts will be provided at Kottayam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, and Changanassery stations.

• Similarly, the Maveli Express (16603) running from Mangaluru Central to Thiruvananthapuram Central on May 15 will not stop at Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha, and Haripad. Instead, additional stops will be arranged at Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, and Chengannur.

• The Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram Central AC Superfast Express (22207), departing from MGR Chennai Central on May 15 and 22, will skip stops at Ernakulam Junction and Alappuzha. Extra halts will be provided at Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, and Chengannur.

• The Kochuveli-Mangaluru Junction Antyodaya Express (16355), leaving Kochuveli on May 9, 14, 16, 21, and 23, will not stop at Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction. Additional stops will instead be provided at Chengannur, Kottayam, and Ernakulam Town.

Railways also informed passengers about possible train delays during this period. The Mangaluru Junction-Thiruvananthapuram North Antyodaya Express (16356), departing on May 15 and 22, may be delayed by about 30 to 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Maveli Express (16603) running on May 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 25, and 26 is expected to face delays of around 40 minutes.

Passengers have been advised to check updated train timings before starting their journey to avoid inconvenience caused by the temporary changes.
