Karnataka to Launch Sea Planes to Hampi, KRS, Almatti, and More: State Set for Makeover

Karnataka is taking a big step to improve tourism by introducing sea planes to key tourist destinations. The state government has announced plans to launch this new service for better travel access to places like Hampi, KRS, and the Almatti backwaters. These locations, known as Karnataka's 'tourism gems,' will now be easier to reach, attracting more visitors. The initiative was shared by Tourism Minister HK Patil, who emphasized the government's efforts to promote Karnataka's beautiful and historic sites.

Expanding Karnataka's Global Presence

To make Karnataka popular worldwide, the government is also planning to create a multi-lingual website. This website will provide detailed information about tourist places in many foreign languages, helping international travelers explore the state better. The state government is currently working with the Ministry of External Affairs on this project. The goal is to bring Karnataka's attractions to a global audience and encourage more foreign tourists to visit.

Karnataka International Travel Expo

At the Karnataka International Travel Expo (KITE), Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spoke about the government's plans to improve tourism. The expo in Bengaluru also marked the start of KITE B2B meetings, where experts discussed better ways to improve travel in Karnataka. The introduction of sea planes is part of a larger effort to develop better transport connections, including improving rail and road links. These improvements will make it easier for travelers to visit Karnataka's top destinations.

Virtual Tour of Heritage Sites

In another exciting development, HK Patil introduced Karnataka's first 3D virtual tour of heritage sites. This project includes short 3D films that allow people to explore 20-30 temples and other locations protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). With this technology, visitors can enjoy Karnataka's cultural and historical beauty from anywhere in the world. It is a new way for people to experience the state's heritage, even if they cannot visit in person.

A New Era for Karnataka's Tourism

By using technology and improving transport options, Karnataka is creating a better travel experience for both local and international visitors. The combination of sea planes, a multi-lingual website, and virtual tours will make the state more accessible and attractive. These efforts will not only increase tourism but also showcase Karnataka's rich cultural history and natural beauty to a wider audience.
