ISRO Is Bringing Space Tourism In India By 2030, Know Tour Cost, And Other Important Details

Space tourism is becoming a reality day by day and we are getting closer to experiencing space tourism in the coming years. There is a piece of big news coming from The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) regarding space tourism in India.

According to reports, India's space agency intends to compete with foreign businessmen like Jeff Bezos & Richard Branson in the space tourism industry. By 2030, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) hopes to offer space tourism packages.

Development on India's very own, safe, and reusable space tourism module is already underway, according to S. Somnath, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

According to ISRO officials who spoke to Hindustan Times, the tickets' prices would be "competitive" on the international market. In order to give the space travel module a deadline, the ISRO chairman said that space travellers will be able to travel to space by 2030. The trip is expected to cost around Rs 6 crore.

Space Travel

The work on the government's space tourism module is "gaining momentum," senior ISRO officials told the Hindustan Times. S. Somnath also mentioned that those who will take this extra-ordinary trip to space can call themselves as "Astronauts".

Although the inclusion of orbital or sub-orbital space travel has not been confirmed, the module's price tag of Rs. 6 crore suggests that sub-orbital space travel will most likely be included.

According to an article on the space exploration news website Space.com, the primary distinction between sub-orbital and orbital space travel is the speed of a spacecraft. A suborbital rocket travels at a speed below orbital velocity, whereas an orbital spacecraft must reach orbital velocity.

Space Travel

A typical sub-orbital voyage lasts 15 minutes at the edge of space, followed by a brief period in low gravity before the spacecraft descends down to Earth. Businesses like Blue Origin have launched reusable New Shepard rockets into suborbital missions. There an increase can be seen in the economic viability of spaceflight if reusable rockets will be used as it can travel to space more than once.

Let's get ready and be excited that India is not behind when it comes to Space tourism. It is a proud moment that there are very few countries in the world planning to start Space tourism or have a target to start it by this set year and India is one of it welcoming such kind of tourism with the help of and constant support from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
