Day 1: Departure from Chennai
Your adventure begins at Chennai Central Railway Station. Board Train No. 20601, the MAS BDNK SF Express, which departs at 22:30 hrs. Get comfortable in your sleeper or 3AC berth and prepare for an exciting journey.
Day 2: Arrival in Bodinayakanur and Transfer to Thekkady
The train arrives in Bodinayakanur at 09:35 hrs. From here, you'll be picked up and driven to Thekkady, a journey of about 75 kilometers that takes 1.5 hours. Check into your hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, visit the Mullai Periyar Dam, which is 26 kilometers away. Later, enjoy some spice shopping in Kumily village. Spend the night in Thekkady.
Day 3: Thekkady to Munnar
Start your day with a boat ride on the lake in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. After the ride, return to the hotel for a short rest before heading to Munnar, 100 kilometers away. On your way, visit the Idukki Dam. Arrive in Munnar and check into your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Exploring Munnar
After an early breakfast, visit the Eravikulam National Park or the Top Station View Point. In the afternoon, see the Mettupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundla Lake. In the evening, enjoy shopping in Munnar Town. Stay overnight in Munnar.
Day 5: Munnar to Bodinayakanur
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and head back to Bodinayakanur. On the way, visit Lockhart Gap View, Anayirangal Dam, Bodimettu View Point, and Surulli Falls. You'll be dropped off at Bodinayakanur Railway Station at 17:30 hrs to board Train No. 20602, which departs at 20:30 hrs.
Day 6: Arrival in Chennai
Arrive at Chennai Central by Train No. 20602 at 07:55 hrs. Your memorable trip concludes here, leaving you with wonderful memories of South India's natural beauty.
