Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken a significant step towards enhancing religious tourism in the state with the launch of the PM Shri Tourism Air Service and PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service. The initiative aims to provide easier access to religious sites and promote tourism across the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Yadav highlighted the rich religious heritage and tourism potential of Madhya Pradesh. He emphasized the importance of these new services in facilitating travel to prominent religious destinations, thereby boosting the state's progress.
He posted on 'X', "Reaching religious places will be made easier, tourism will get new wings...Our Madhya Pradesh is extremely rich in terms of religious sites and tourism. Today, in Bhopal, the 'PM Shri Tourism Air Service' and 'PM Shri Religious Tourism Helicopter Service' were inaugurated with a single click.
For the progress of the state, inspired by the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, we are establishing new standards. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Devda, Cabinet colleague Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Shri Rakesh Singh, Shri Kr Vijay Shah, Shri Tulsi Silawat, and other representatives are also present.'"
Under these services, air connectivity will be established between Indore and Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain) and Omkareshwar. Additionally, helicopter services will be introduced for places like Datia, Orchha, and Maihar, catering to the growing demand for efficient transportation to religious sites.
MP's Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trust Minister Dharmendra Lodhi announced that two twin-engine aircraft will operate for an affordable journey. The contract with aircraft operator FlyOla includes the establishment of flight routes, ticket counters, and staff selection, ensuring seamless operation within two months.

Furthermore, one twin-engine helicopter will operate from Bhopal, with single-engine helicopters stationed in Indore and Ujjain. Booking for these services can be conveniently done online through various platforms, enhancing accessibility for travelers.
Chief Minister Yadav underscored the significance of religious sites such as Ujjain and Omkareshwar, known for their 'jyotirlingas,' in the state's cultural landscape. He emphasized the need for efficient transportation to these destinations, especially for travelers visiting for trade purposes.
The introduction of helicopter services for places like Datia, Maihar, and Orchha reflects the government's commitment to improving connectivity and promoting tourism in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, plans are underway to introduce helicopter services for popular wildlife destinations like Kanha National Park and Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
The launch of two eight-seater twin-engine aircraft by private operator Flyola Group marks a significant milestone in expanding air connectivity across the state. These services will operate from main airports like Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and Khajuraho, catering to diverse travel needs.
State Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi affirmed that aircraft and helicopter service providers are committed to providing 150 hours of service per month, ensuring regular operations for travelers. The initiative aims to make travel more convenient and efficient, contributing to the overall growth and development of Madhya Pradesh's tourism sector.
The PM Shri Tourism Air Service and PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service represent a significant leap forward in enhancing religious tourism and promoting sustainable travel in Madhya Pradesh. As these services become operational, they are expected to attract more visitors and showcase the state's rich cultural heritage to the world.
