Indore Implements Traffic Management For Anant Chaturdashi Procession

Indore's traffic management police have outlined diversions and restrictions to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Anant Chaturdashi procession, affecting various routes across the city.

The traffic management police in Indore have organised diversions to facilitate smooth traffic flow during the Anant Chaturdashi procession on Tuesday. Roads near the procession route will see either diversions or restrictions until the event concludes.

Traffic from Marimata heading towards the railway station and bus stand will be rerouted to Bhagirathpura T via MR-4 under Rajkumar Bridge to SGSITS. Similarly, vehicles from Jawahar Marg to Yeshwant Road intersection via Nandlalpura will be diverted to Saifee Square through Hathipala.

Procession Route and Timings

The procession will commence at Chikmangalur Square around 6 pm and proceed through various city points including Jail Road Square, MG Road Square, Mrignayani Emporium, Fruit Market, Nandalapura, Jawahar Marg, Narsingh Bazaar, Cloth Market, Khajuri Bazaar, and Rajwada. It is expected to conclude late at night.

Vehicles travelling from Madhumilan towards Nandlalpura Yeshwant Road Square and Rajmohalla should use Agrasen Square, Sapna Sangeeta Road, and Forest T. Traffic moving from Regal Square Lantern Square to Marimata Square will be redirected to Vallabh Nagar T towards Marimata using the MR 4 route via Bhagirathpura T.

Parking Restrictions

Parking of all vehicle types is prohibited on Nandlalpura, Yashwant Road, Ram Laxman Bazaar, Nrusinh Bazaar, G Sachchidananda, Gaurakund, Shakkar Bazaar, Subhash Chowk, Rajwada, and Krishnapura Bridge. General vehicles are not allowed from Bhagirathpura T towards Bhandari Bridge trisection.

Traffic from Regal Square to Mrignayani Rajwada via Shastri Bridge will be diverted through Agrasen Sapna Sangeeta Road from GPO and Forest T towards Mrignayani Rajwada and Yashwant Road Square. Vehicles heading to Jawahar Marg must go through Rajmohalla Square or Malganj Square via Biabani, Dargah Square or Mhow Naka.

General Vehicle Restrictions

No general vehicles will be permitted on the road from Saifi Square towards Sanjay Setu and Nandlalpura. Similarly, vehicles cannot travel on the road from Nagar Nigam Square towards Mrignayani Square and Chikmangalur Square. General vehicles are also restricted from Rajkumar Bridge towards DRP Square.

Entry of all other vehicle types is banned along the entire procession route. No vehicles can move towards the procession route from Rambagh, Mahesh Joshi T, Subhash Water Tank, ACP Office Malharganj, Badwali Chowki, Itwaria Bazar, Sabzi Mandi, Dargah Square or Machhi Bazaar.

Vehicles going from Malharganj police station to Mrignayani via MG Road and Rajwada will be diverted to Malharganj ACP Office and IMC through Badwali Chowki and Subhash Nagar. Additionally, no vehicles are allowed on roads leading from Nagar Nigam Square towards Mrignayani or Chikmangalur Squares.

This comprehensive traffic management plan aims to ensure a hassle-free experience for commuters during the Anant Chaturdashi procession while maintaining order on the city's roads.
