IndiGo, a prominent player in the low-cost carrier market, has been recognized for its rapid growth and unwavering focus on affordability, punctuality, and exceptional customer experiences. With a staggering fleet of over 1800 daily flights, the airline seamlessly connects an extensive network of 78 domestic destinations and is now poised to expand its international reach to 32 destinations.
As part of its expansion strategy, IndiGo is all geared up to introduce a new biweekly flight, commencing on September 2, that will connect Mopa (North Goa) and Abu Dhabi, catering to the escalating travel demands between Goa and the Middle East.
The latest addition to IndiGo's ever-growing route network is set to reinforce its presence in Abu Dhabi, complementing the already operational flights from five major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, and Hyderabad. This strategic move serves as a testament to IndiGo's commitment to understanding and fulfilling the diverse needs of its continuously expanding customer base.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed genuine enthusiasm about the latest development, stating, "We are thrilled to announce new connections between North Goa (Mopa Airport) and Abu Dhabi, introducing an exciting development in our flight offerings. The significant demand for travel to the Middle East in India has not gone unnoticed, and at IndiGo, we proactively aim to cater to this demand through these new connections."
With the inclusion of these flights, IndiGo's weekly flights to Abu Dhabi will soar to an impressive 52, connecting eight major Indian cities to the UAE, and making the country even more accessible to travelers. Malhotra emphasized that the airline remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing a seamless and delightful travel experience for its customers throughout their extensive network. IndiGo remains dedicated to offering timely, affordable, and hassle-free services that leave travelers with cherished memories.
Abu Dhabi, the dazzling capital of the UAE, beckons travelers with its opulent shopping centers, awe-inspiring architecture, and cultural landmarks, such as the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The new connection between Goa and Abu Dhabi will offer enhanced access to renowned tourist attractions, including the world-famous Ferrari World, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and Yas Island, among others. Abu Dhabi has firmly established itself as a world-class destination, evident from the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism's ambitious plan to attract 24 million visitors by 2023.
On the other hand, Goa, one of India's most beloved tourist destinations, enthralls visitors with its pristine beaches, vibrant nightlife, and a rich blend of cultural practices influenced by Portuguese, Maharashtrian, and Konkani heritage. Tourists from all over the country and beyond flock to Goa to experience its breathtaking beaches, lively carnivals, historical churches, and tantalizing delicacies. The state is also home to historic forts, including Baga, Candolim, Calangute, Morjim, Arambol, Anjuna, Bom Jesus, Saint Cathedral, St. Francis, and the Chapel of St. Catherine, each adding to the region's allure.
The newly introduced flight 6E 1505 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing from Mopa at 00:25 AM and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 02:15. The return flight 6E 1506 will operate on the same days, departing from Abu Dhabi at 3:15 and arriving in Mopa at 8:10.
This recent announcement comes hot on the heels of IndiGo's introduction of a direct flight connecting Delhi to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with flight 6E 1803 operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and the return flight 6E 1804 operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Additionally, the airline has also unveiled a three-times-weekly service between Delhi and Tbilisi from August 8.
With IndiGo's continued expansion and the launch of new flight routes, passengers can anticipate an even more accessible and extensive travel experience, further solidifying the airline's position as a leading carrier in the region.
