Budget airline IndiGo has recently launched daily direct flights from Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, establishing a significant air link between India and Thailand. This initiative positions IndiGo as the first Indian airline to offer direct flights connecting Hyderabad with Bangkok, signifying a strategic expansion in its international flight operations. The introduction of this route is anticipated to enhance travel convenience and foster closer ties between the two cities.

New Direct Flight Details
The inauguration of this route was marked by the departure of the first flight, an Airbus A320 neo aircraft bearing the flight number 6E 1067, from Hyderabad at 3:50 a.m. local time, arriving in Bangkok at 8:40 a.m. local time. The flights have been scheduled to operate on a daily basis, with flight 6E 1067 set to depart from Hyderabad at 3:55 a.m. and reach Bangkok at 9:05 a.m. The return flight, 6E 1068, will leave Bangkok at 10:05 a.m. and arrive in Hyderabad at 12:05 p.m.
Enhancing Connectivity
Mr. Vinay Malhotra, the head of global sales at IndiGo, commented on the significance of this new route, stating, "With the addition of these flights, Hyderabad will be the sixth Indian city with a direct connection to Bangkok on IndiGo." He further highlighted the airline's commitment to expanding its international network by connecting Hyderabad with six new international cities over the past year, bringing the total to 13 international destinations. This expansion is a testament to IndiGo's efforts to facilitate international travel for its passengers, offering more destinations and streamlined flight schedules.
The introduction of direct flights between Hyderabad and Bangkok by IndiGo is expected to not only provide travelers with more convenient travel options but also contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations and economic ties between India and Thailand.
