IndiGo, India's top low-cost airline, is launching business-class services as it marks its 18th anniversary. The service will be available from November, with bookings open now. "Starting tomorrow, passengers travelling between metro cities will have the option to book business class seats on IndiGo flights," said IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers. This move represents a major change for the airline known for its budget-friendly, no-frills approach.

IndiGo Business Class Ticket Price and Routes
The introductory price for the new service on the Delhi-Mumbai route is Rs 18,018. Initially, IndiGo Stretch will be available on select metro-to-metro routes. The airline plans to extend this service to all 12 routes by the end of 2025. This phased rollout aims to allow more passengers to experience the new business class over time.
IndiGo's business class, branded as IndiGo Stretch, promises a comfortable journey with coupe-style, two-seat wide bays. The seats are designed to offer maximum comfort with a spacious pitch of 38 inches and a width of 21.3 inches, providing ample space for passengers to relax.

- A six-way adjustable headrest with neck support
- 5" deep recline for added comfort
- Electronic device holder
- 60-watt USB-Type C power supply
- Three-pin universal power outlet

In collaboration with Oberoi Catering Services, IndiGo will provide specially curated healthy meal options. Business class travelers can enjoy a complimentary vegetarian meal box along with a wide selection of beverages.

IndiGo Business Stretch Class: Exclusive Cabin Configuration
The IndiGo Stretch cabin features 12 seats in a 2-2 configuration, offering space and comfort. Meanwhile, the standard 6E cabin will continue to provide 208 seats, maintaining the current seating layout including XL seats in the middle of the aircraft.
Apart from introducing business class services, IndiGo has announced plans to operate wide-body aircraft by 2027. The airline will start using Airbus A350-900 planes to attract travelers seeking extra comfort and convenience on domestic routes. Currently operating over 400 routes including 34 international destinations, IndiGo aims to expand its global reach further.
The CEO also revealed plans to launch seven new international routes soon, enhancing IndiGo's presence in the international market.
This strategic expansion reflects IndiGo's commitment to evolving and meeting diverse customer needs while maintaining its core value of affordability.
