IndiGo Airlines has launched new direct flights from Hyderabad to several important cities in India, including Prayagraj and Agra. This move aims to make travel easier and faster for passengers. The new flights began on Saturday, following the airline's recent introduction of flights to Ayodhya and Kanpur. These new routes are part of IndiGo's plan to offer better travel options, connecting Hyderabad with over 75 domestic and 18 international destinations from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).

Flights from Hyderabad to Ayodhya are now available four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights leave Hyderabad at 1:55 PM and arrive in Ayodhya by 4:05 PM. This route was restarted after being paused earlier when SpiceJet stopped its flights to Ayodhya on June 1.
Similarly, IndiGo's new flight service to Kanpur also operates four times a week. The flights depart from Hyderabad at 8:55 AM and reach Kanpur at 11:00 AM. This route improves connectivity between the two cities. For travelers going to Prayagraj, IndiGo offers three flights every week, with departures at the same time, reaching Prayagraj by 10:50 AM.
Another exciting new route is the direct flight from Hyderabad to Agartala, which began on September 23. These flights run four times a week, leaving Hyderabad at 7:30 AM and arriving in Agartala at 10:20 AM. This route opens up opportunities for travelers to explore northeastern India. Additionally, IndiGo launched flights to Jammu on September 24, running three times a week, aimed at supporting both pilgrims and tourists. The flights leave Hyderabad at 7:05 AM and reach Jammu by 10:10 AM.
On September 28, direct flights from Hyderabad to Agra were also introduced. These flights operate three times a week, leaving Hyderabad at 1:55 PM and arriving in Agra by 4:05 PM, making it easier for travelers to visit the Taj Mahal.
IndiGo's expansion of routes from Hyderabad to six major cities-Agartala, Kanpur, Agra, Jammu, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya-was announced by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. This initiative will make traveling between these cities more convenient and flexible, enhancing air travel in India.
India is working to improve its air travel system, with plans to develop three international aviation hubs in the next decade. Alongside this, efforts to improve air travel safety and infrastructure continue. The recent handover of the 251-km Hyderabad-Nagpur corridor to Highway Infrastructure Trust for Rs 6,661 crore highlights India's focus on better transport.
IndiGo's launch of these new flights from Hyderabad is a significant step in strengthening India's air travel network, making travel smoother and faster for passengers across the country.
