To help passengers and manage the extra travel rush, South Western Railway has announced special express train services between SSS Hubballi and Chikkamagaluru.
Hubballi-Chikkamagaluru Special Train
According to a railway release, Train No. 07341 SSS Hubballi-Chikkamagaluru Special Express will operate on June 20 and 21. The train will depart from SSS Hubballi at 5:00 am and reach Chikkamagaluru at 11:15 am on the same day.
For the return journey, Train No. 07342 Chikkamagaluru-SSS Hubballi Special Express will run on the same dates. It will leave Chikkamagaluru at 5:30 pm and arrive at SSS Hubballi at 11:20 pm the same day.
Important Stoppages
The special train will stop at several stations along the route in both directions. These include Kundgol, Saunshi, Yalvigi, Haveri, Ranebennur, Harihar, Davangere, Chikjajur, Ramgiri, Ajjampur, Birur, Kadur, Bisalehalli, Sakharayapatna, and Kanivehalli.
How will these Trains Benefit Passengers?
Railway officials said the special service has been introduced to provide additional travel options and accommodate the increased number of passengers during this period. The train will help reduce congestion on regular services and make travel more convenient for people travelling between Hubballi and Chikkamagaluru.
The train will have a total of 10 coaches. These will include one Sleeper Class coach for passengers who prefer reserved sleeping accommodation, seven General Second Class coaches for unreserved travel, and two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Vans that will also include compartments for Divyangjan.
Passengers planning to travel on these routes on June 20 and 21 can make use of these special train services. The additional trains are expected to provide relief to travellers by offering extra seating capacity and improving connectivity between the two cities and the intermediate stations along the route.
