To help passengers travel smoothly during the Holi festival, Indian Railways has introduced several special trains, including a dedicated Vande Bharat Express service between New Delhi and Patna. This special service will operate from March 8 to March 21 to assist people traveling home for the celebrations. This move aims to manage the increased travel rush during Holi.
Vande Bharat Express Service Details
The special Vande Bharat Express will run on specific days with a well-planned schedule:
- From New Delhi to Patna: Departs daily at 8:30 AM (except Mondays), arriving in Patna at 10:30 PM.
- From Patna to New Delhi: Departs daily at 5:30 AM (except Tuesdays), arriving in New Delhi at 8:10 PM.
The 16-coach express will pass through key stations such as Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ballia, Chhapra, and Patliputra Junction, ensuring a faster and more comfortable journey for travelers.
Additional Special Trains for Holi
Apart from the Vande Bharat Express, Indian Railways will introduce 14 more Holi-special trains, bringing the total to 25 special services for this festive period.
Here are some key services:
1. Delhi-Patna Superfast Express
- From New Delhi: Departs at 11:35 PM, arrives in Patna at 4:40 PM the next day.
- From Patna: Departs at 5:50 PM, arrives in New Delhi at 10:25 AM the following day.
- Operates from March 7 to March 17.
2. Anand Vihar-Rajgir Special
- From Anand Vihar: Departs at 12:30 AM, arrives in Patna at 4:15 PM and in Rajgir at 7:50 PM.
- From Rajgir: Departs at 11:30 PM, arrives in Anand Vihar at 7:00 PM the following day.
- Runs on March 7, 11, 14, and 18.
