Residents of Ghaziabad will soon experience a faster and smoother journey to Kanpur, thanks to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). A new 380-kilometer Green Field Expressway is being developed under the Green Highway Policy. This expressway promises to drastically reduce travel time while connecting nine districts in Uttar Pradesh, improving both convenience and connectivity.
Currently, traveling from Ghaziabad to Kanpur takes around seven and a half hours. However, with this expressway, the journey will take just 3.5 hours. This project will not only save time but also reduce traffic congestion and improve road safety for commuters.
Connecting Nine Districts
The expressway will start in Ghaziabad and pass through important districts such as Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, and Unnao, before ending in Kanpur. It will initially be a four-lane road but can be expanded to six lanes in the future.
