The free city tour programme for transit & transfer passengers, who make up around 30% of passenger flow, has been reintroduced at Changi Airport in Singapore which is the best news for people transiting or getting transferred under certain rules and regulations.

According to sources, the free tour was just re-launched by the Changi Airport Group (CAG), Singapore Airlines (SIA), and the Singapore Tourist Board (STB) following a two-year delay caused by COVID-19.
The City Sights Tour, Heritage Tour, & Jewel Tour among others, have been updated to add fresh sites of interest. Travelers will soon be able to enjoy a Changi Precinct Tour that will introduce them to the unique sights and sounds of Singapore Changi Airport's Eastern environs. Every day, trips with a duration of roughly 2.5 hours are available.
The Changi Airport website now offers prior booking to make travel for passengers easier. All transfer and transit visitors with layovers of at least 5.5 hours but less than 24 hours are welcome to join the Free Singapore tour. To participate in the tours, travelers merely must possess a valid entry visa for Singapore.
The schedule will emphasise sustainable elements at some of the destinations and provide visitors with a rundown of Singapore's environmental initiatives. This will comprise Jewel's Eco-Community Garden on the roof of "Our Tampines Hub," Gardens by the Bay's environmental sustainability projects, etc.
Executive Vice President of Air Hub & Cargo Development at CAG, Lim Ching Kiat, reacted on the development and said that they are happy to bring it back with the continuation of travel and that the same will also encourage travelers to explore the airport more.
