South Western Railway will run a special one-time express train between Yesvantpur in Bengaluru and Talguppa in Karnataka's Shivamogga district to manage the extra crowd travelling for the Sirsi Marikamba Devi Jatra Mahotsava.

Yesvantpur-Talguppa Express
Train No. 06587 Yesvantpur-Talguppa Express Special will leave Yesvantpur at 10:45 p.m. on February 27 and reach Talguppa at 5:05 a.m. on February 28. On the return journey, Train No. 06588 Talguppa-Yesvantpur Express Festival Special train will depart from Talguppa at 9:30 a.m. on February 28 and arrive at Yesvantpur at 5:15 p.m. the same day.
Major Train Stoppages
The special train will stop at several stations in both directions. These include Tumakuru, Tiptur, Arsikere, Birur Junction, Tarikere, Bhadravati, Shivamogga Town, Konagavalli Halt, Harnahalli Halt, Kumsi, Arasalu Halt, Kenchanalu Halt, Anandapuram, Adderi Halt, and Sagara Jambagaru.
The train will have a total of 20 coaches. It will include one First Class-cum-AC 2-Tier coach, two AC 3-Tier coaches, ten Sleeper Class coaches, five General Second Class coaches, and two SLR/D coaches.
Temporary Extension of Trains
Moreover, SWR has announced a temporary extension of Train Nos. 16581 and 16582 Yesvantpur-Shivamogga Town-Yesvantpur Tri-weekly Express up to Talaguppa for one day to help festival passengers.
Train No. 16581 will run from Yesvantpur to Talaguppa on March 1. It will leave Yesvantpur at 12:15 a.m. and reach Talaguppa at 9:00 a.m. On the return trip, Train No. 16582 will start from Talaguppa at 10:00 p.m. and arrive at Yesvantpur at 4:45 a.m. the next day. During the extended journey, the train will stop at Shivamogga Town, Konagavalli Halt, Harnahalli Halt, Kumsi, Arasalu Halt, Kenchanalu Halt, Anandapuram, Adderi Halt, and Sagara Jambagaru stations.
