Indian Railways Introduces Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train:
In a bid to promote the spirit of "Dekho Apna Desh" and "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat," Indian Railways, in collaboration with IRCTC, is all set to roll out the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. Departing from the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on 17th November 2023, this circular journey is designed to showcase the diverse cultural and religious heritage of India.
The scenic route covers iconic destinations, including Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Guntakal, Renigunta, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Kochuveli, and culminates back at CSMT on 25th November 2023. The train offers three distinct travel options - Economy, Comfort, and Deluxe, catering to a variety of preferences.
With a mission to captivate both domestic and international tourists, the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train integrates the essence of Dekho Apna Desh and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiatives. Major stations like Thane, Pune, Solapur, Kanyakumari, and more have been strategically chosen for boarding and deboarding during this cultural odyssey.
Dr. Shivraj Manaspure, Chief Public Relations Officer of CR, highlighted the noble objective behind this venture. "With the aim of promoting the noble tourism concepts of Dekho Apna Desh and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat as envisioned by the Government of India, the Ministry of Railways has been operating Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains from different parts of the country. These theme-based trains are conceptualized to showcase the rich cultural and religious heritage of Bharat to both domestic and international tourists."
The IRCTC tourist train presents an all-inclusive tour package, encompassing three distinctive options - Economy, Comfort, and Deluxe. This comprehensive package covers train fare, meals, accommodation, and transportation, ensuring a hassle-free and immersive travel experience for the passengers.
