Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Service Suspended, Passengers Await Resumption Amid Onam Travel Rush

The Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat special train, a popular service with high occupancy rates, has been unexpectedly suspended. Despite generating profits and being favored by passengers, the train's operation was halted because there was no official notification to extend the service. This has caused concern among travelers, especially with the upcoming Onam vacation season, when demand for travel is high.

The train service was initially running three times a week and was well-received by passengers on both the Ernakulam-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Ernakulam routes. Many passengers appreciated the convenience and reliability of the Vande Bharat train, making it a preferred choice for travel between these two major cities. The suspension of this service has led to worries about increased travel challenges during the festive season.

Railway authorities have indicated that they plan to resume the service after making a decision on a possible change in the departure time from Bengaluru. There was a proposal to adjust the train's departure time from Bengaluru's Cantonment station, changing it from 5:30 am to 6:00 am. However, no official announcement has been made yet about when or if the service will resume.

Passengers who have relied on this service have expressed their disappointment and concern. They had hoped the train would continue to operate, especially given its success in terms of revenue and passenger satisfaction. The uncertainty surrounding the service's resumption has left many travelers uncertain about their plans for the Onam holiday.

The Southwest Railway is still in the process of finalizing its decision on the service. While there are indications that the train might be brought back with a revised schedule, passengers are eagerly awaiting confirmation. Until then, those planning to travel during the festive season may face difficulties in finding alternative travel options.

The suspension of the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat special train has created challenges for travelers, particularly with Onam approaching. While there are plans to possibly resume the service with a new departure time, an official decision is still pending, leaving passengers in a state of uncertainty.
