WhatsApp has rolled out a new QR ticketing service for DTC commuters in the Delhi NCR region, aiming to simplify the transit experience for passengers. Now, booking and purchasing bus tickets has become easier than ever, all within the familiar WhatsApp chat interface.

How to Book DTC Bus Tickets Via WhatsApp
1. Initiate Conversation: Simply type 'Hi' and send it to 8744073223 or scan the QR code.
2. Select Language: Choose between English or Hindi as your preferred language.
3. Book Your Ticket: Follow the prompts to book your ticket seamlessly.
Accessing the Service
The WhatsApp-based QR ticketing service is available in both English and Hindi. Commuters can access the service by sending 'Hi' to +91 8744073223 or by scanning the QR code provided.
Currently, the chatbot allows passengers traveling on DTC and DIMTS routes to book single journey QR tickets. For frequent travelers on the same route, the chatbot offers a quick purchase feature, reducing the time spent on selecting the destination and starting point.
Easy Payment Options
Passengers can purchase up to six tickets per transaction using their preferred UPI payment option within the chat window.

Simple Booking Process
Here's how to book your DTC bus tickets via WhatsApp:
1. Choose "Book Ticket" from the menu.
2. Select your source and destination.
3. Choose the desired bus route and type (AC or non-AC).
4. Add the number of tickets you want to book.
5. Proceed to payment via UPI or cards.
6. Download your ticket by clicking on 'Download Ticket' in the chat.
Valid Ticket Duration
Tickets purchased through WhatsApp remain valid until the specified time on the ticket. The user-friendly interface ensures an easy and interactive experience, allowing commuters to plan their transit effortlessly while on the go.
Enhancing Customer Delight
This collaboration between WhatsApp and DTC marks a significant step forward for the public transport sector, offering passengers easy access to technology and enhancing customer satisfaction.
