Diwali Special Trains From Bengaluru to Mangaluru, Karwar: Check Schedule and Stops

To meet the high travel demand during the festive season, the South Western Railway (SWR) has introduced special train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru, as well as Bengaluru and Karwar. This move comes in response to requests from the public and local MPs, Capt. Brijesh Chowta and Kota Srinivas Poojary, to provide extra options for travelers during this busy time.

Special Train Timings

For those traveling between Bengaluru and Mangaluru, the Yeshwanthpur-Mangaluru Junction Express Special (Train No. 06565) will depart from Yeshwanthpur at 11:50 PM on October 30 and arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 11:45 AM the next morning. The train will stop at various stations, including Kunigal, Channarayapatna, and Hassan, before reaching its final destination. The return service (Train No. 06566) will leave Mangaluru Junction at 1:00 PM on October 31 and arrive at Yeshwanthpur at 9:15 PM with similar stops along the route.

For those heading to Karwar, the Bengaluru-Karwar Express Special (Train No. 06597) will leave Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 1:00 PM on October 30 and reach Karwar at 4:00 AM the next day. This train will make stops at key stations, including Chikkabanavar, Kunigal, and Hassan. The return train (Train No. 06589) will depart from Karwar at 12:00 PM and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 4:00 AM the following day.

Comfortable Coaches and Facilities

The coaches for these special trains are designed to offer a comfortable and pleasant travel experience. The Yeshwanthpur-Mangaluru Junction Express Special will feature:
- Two 2-tier AC coaches
- Six 3-tier AC coaches
- Seven sleeper class coaches
- Four general second-class coaches
- Two luggage-cum-brake vans

The Bengaluru-Karwar Express Special will include:
- Two 3-tier AC coaches
- Ten sleeper class coaches
- Four general second-class coaches
- Two luggage-cum-brake vans

These trains use modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, ensuring a smoother and safer journey.
