Towards enhancing connectivity and boosting tourism, Ayodhya is set to become a focal point with the inauguration of the Shri Ram International Airport, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the way on December 30. IndiGo, at the forefront of this aviation endeavor, has charted a robust plan to connect Ayodhya with key cities, making it a hub for travel, tourism, and business.

IndiGo's Pioneering Flight Routes
IndiGo, renowned for its commitment to expanding air travel, had already set the stage by unveiling plans for inaugural operations from the soon-to-be-inaugurated Shri Ram International Airport. The airline announced flights from Delhi on December 30, followed by services from Ahmedabad on January 11, 2024. Now, adding to the aviation extravaganza, IndiGo will commence daily direct flights between Mumbai and Ayodhya from January 15, marking a historic moment as the first airline to connect these two vibrant cities.
Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, emphasized the significance of this connectivity. He expressed, "We are pleased to announce direct connectivity between Ayodhya and Mumbai, in addition to Delhi and Ahmedabad. These new routes will significantly boost travel, tourism, and trade in the region, contributing to economic growth and granting tourists direct access to Ayodhya through the 6E network across India and overseas."
Flight Schedule and Connectivity
IndiGo's Mumbai-Ayodhya route is set to debut with flight 6E 5378 departing from Mumbai at 12:30 pm and reaching Ayodhya at 2:45 pm. The return journey, flight 6E 5379, will take off from Ayodhya at 3:15 pm, landing in Mumbai at 5:40 pm. This daily service marks a milestone in connecting the financial capital with the spiritual and cultural significance of Ayodhya.

With the inauguration of the international airport dedicated to Shri Ram in Ayodhya, the city is poised to be a hub of economic activities.
