Delhi Rain Alert

According to the weather forecast, the national capital may witness very light to light rainfall during the afternoon and evening hours on Monday and Tuesday. Thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 kmph are also expected during this period. The maximum temperature on May 11 is likely to remain around 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may stay near 27 degrees Celsius. Similar weather conditions are expected on May 12, although the maximum temperature may drop slightly to around 37 degrees Celsius. Before the rain arrives, Delhi is expected to see mainly clear skies on May 9 and May 10. In these two days, daytime temperatures are likely to be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius. No weather warning has been issued for Saturday and Sunday. The expected rain and thunderstorms on May 11 and 12 may provide temporary relief from the heat, with temperatures likely to decrease slightly after the showers.

Delhi Weather Forecast

From May 13 onwards, the weather is expected to improve, with partly cloudy skies forecast across the city. Clear skies are likely to return by May 14, and no further weather warnings have been issued for the remaining days of the week. The weather department has advised residents to remain cautious during thunderstorm activity, especially while travelling in the evening, as strong winds and lightning may affect visibility and road conditions.

Delhi Weather on Friday

Meanwhile, Palam recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius on Friday, which was five degrees below normal. Lodi Road and Ridge recorded maximum temperatures of 34.2 and 34.8 degrees Celsius, respectively, while Ayanagar touched 35.1 degrees Celsius, also lower than usual for this season.

Morning temperatures remained comfortable across the city. Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 22.6 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded 20.7 degrees Celsius. The Ridge area remained the coolest, with the minimum temperature dropping to 20 degrees Celsius, which was 5.5 degrees below normal.
