People in Delhi-NCR are likely to get relief from the recent intense heat, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a change in the weather. Light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected across the national capital region. Moreover, the IMD has also issued a yellow alert, warning residents

about changing weather conditions in the coming days.
Delhi Rain Alert
According to the forecast, Delhi will see a noticeable shift in the weather from Monday to Thursday. During this period, light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms are likely, along with strong winds that may reach speeds of up to 50 km/h. These changes are expected to make the weather more comfortable compared to the recent hot conditions.
Weather Update in Delhi Today
For Tuesday, the weather department has predicted partly cloudy skies, with some areas experiencing drizzle. A dust storm was already reported in several parts of Delhi on Monday night, and more such activity, along with rain, is expected between Monday night and Wednesday. Temperatures in the city are likely to drop from Wednesday onwards as rainfall continues for the next two to three days. Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected to occur frequently, especially from Tuesday to April 30. A yellow alert has been issued for April 29 due to the high probability of intense weather activity.
Reason behind the Weather Change
The daily forecast suggests cloudy skies with rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds on April 27 and 28. Similar conditions are expected on April 29, while April 30 may see partly cloudy skies with chances of thunder and lightning. From May 1 to May 3, the weather is expected to improve, with mainly clear skies. This change in weather is due to a cyclonic system over nearby regions, which is moving towards Delhi and is expected to influence the weather until April 30.
