The India Meteorological Department has issued a fresh forecast predicting rain and thunderstorms over the next two days, which may further bring down temperatures across the region.

The sky is expected to remain cloudy throughout the day, with temperatures staying close to normal for this time of year. The maximum temperature is likely to be between 38°C and 40°C, while the minimum may range from 24°C to 26°C. Winds in the morning will blow at around 15 km/h and may increase to about 18 km/h by the afternoon. By evening, a gentle south-westerly breeze is expected.

Weather conditions are expected to change further, with clouds becoming stronger after noon. The IMD predicts light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning, and dust storms. Wind speeds may reach 30-40 km/h, with gusts up to 50 km/h. These strong winds could lead to falling branches and reduced visibility. Day temperatures may drop slightly to around 36°C-38°C.

Delhi Weather Update for 4 May

Cooler conditions are likely to continue. The day will remain mostly cloudy, with chances of light rain and thunderstorms. Temperatures may decrease further, with highs around 35°C-37°C. Strong winds of 30-40 km/h are expected to continue, keeping the weather relatively pleasant compared to previous hot days.

Although the cooler weather brings relief, it also comes with risks like lightning and dust storms. People are advised to stay indoors during stormy conditions. It is also important to avoid standing under trees, near electric poles, or close to weak structures during strong winds.
