The India Meteorological Department has predicted very light to light rainfall in Delhi-NCR on June 11 and 12, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds of up to 60 kmph.

Delhi NCR Received Rainfall
Recently, several parts of Delhi-NCR experienced a sudden change in the weather as rain showers swept across the region, providing much-needed relief from the intense heat and humidity residents had been facing over the past few days. As a result, temperatures dropped noticeably, making the weather more pleasant and comfortable.
Delhi Rain Alert in the Coming Days
According to the IMD, the expected rain and thunderstorms over the next two days could further reduce temperatures. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to remain between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius on June 12, which is lower than the temperatures recorded during the recent hot spell.
Advisory for Delhi Residents
The weather department has advised people to stay alert during thunderstorms, as strong winds may affect traffic and outdoor activities. However, the rainfall is expected to bring relief from the uncomfortable weather conditions that have prevailed in the region.
Weather experts believe that the monsoon will continue advancing steadily across the country in the coming days. If conditions remain favourable, it is expected to cover most parts of India by the third week of June. The arrival of the monsoon is important as it provides a large share of the country's annual rainfall, supports agriculture, replenishes water reservoirs, and helps lower temperatures in many regions.
