Delhi Metro's Yellow Line will experience disruptions on Sunday, October 6, due to scheduled maintenance at Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station. The service between Samaypur Badli and Millennium City Centre Gurugram will be affected until 6:40 am. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced changes in train schedules and station closures to accommodate this maintenance work.

The DMRC has informed commuters that during the maintenance period, trains will operate every 10 minutes. A post on X (formerly Twitter) by DMRC stated, "During the maintenance work, the train services will be available at a frequency of 10 minutes and thereafter, regular Sunday timetable will be followed for the rest of the day."
Revised Train Timings
On October 6, the first train from Vishwavidyalaya to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will depart at 6:45 am instead of the usual 6:00 am. Similarly, the first train heading to Samaypur Badli from Kashmere Gate will start its journey at 6:52 am rather than 6:00 am.
Normal services will continue on other parts of the Yellow Line. Trains will run as usual between Millennium City Centre Gurugram and Kashmere Gate, as well as from Samaypur Badli to Vishwavidyalaya stations. However, there will be no service between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate during this time.
Station Closures
Vidhan Sabha and Civil Lines stations will remain closed until 6:40 am when services resume. This closure is necessary to facilitate maintenance activities along the route.
Anuj Dayal, DMRC's Principal Executive Director, mentioned that announcements would be made at stations and inside trains to inform passengers about train destinations and platform changes during this period. This measure aims to minimise inconvenience for commuters during early morning hours on October 6.
The adjustments are part of efforts to ensure safe and efficient metro operations. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and stay updated through official channels for any further changes or updates.
