Delhi Metro services will start at 6 am on Sunday, September 13, 2026, on all corridors to help students taking competitive exams reach their centres on time.

Delhi Metro Services to Start Early on 13 September
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that Metro services will begin one hour earlier than usual on Sunday to facilitate the movement of examination candidates and other early-morning commuters. Usually, services on the Pink, Magenta and Grey lines start at 7 am on Sundays. However, all Metro lines will begin operations at 6 am this Sunday to particularly help candidates appearing for the NDA/CDS examinations, along with members of the general public who need to travel early in the morning.
The decision followed a request received by the Delhi Traffic Police from a CDS aspirant, who raised concerns about the availability of early-morning Metro services to reach the examination centre before the reporting time. The Delhi Traffic Police took up the matter and coordinated with the DMRC to make early Metro services available for candidates appearing for the NDA/CDS examinations.
With the revised schedule, candidates can use the Metro from 6 am onwards on Sunday to travel to their examination centres, while other early-morning commuters can also use the services.
