The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced that 17 Metro stations in Delhi have been closed from 7:30 AM today until further notice due to security reasons in the national capital. Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly, as trains will not stop at these stations until normal services are restored.

The Metro stations that have been closed are Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Jhandewalan, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh and Shivaji Stadium.
Interchange Facilities for Commuters are Going On
Although these stations have been shut for entry and exit, the DMRC has clarified that passengers can still use interchange facilities at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat. This means commuters can change Metro lines at these stations, but they will not be able to enter or exit them.
The Metro authority said the closures have been implemented as a precautionary measure due to security concerns in the city. No information has been given on when the stations will reopen, and the restrictions will remain in place until further notice.

Passengers are advised to check the latest updates from the DMRC before starting their journey. Those travelling through central Delhi may need to use nearby Metro stations or other modes of transport, depending on their destination.
