To secure a spot on this exclusive flight, interested customers are required to deposit 50,000 yuan. This move heralds Deep Blue Aerospace's leading position in China's rapidly growing commercial space sector, an area that Beijing aims to expand to rival entities like Elon Musk's SpaceX. Highlighting China's commitment to becoming a significant player in the space industry, state media reported 26 commercial launches in 2023, including the launch of the world's first methane-fuelled rocket, LandSpace's Zhuque-2.
