Director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that the organization is still very concerned about the Covid situation in China due to the increase in cases following the easing of restrictions and that the WHO will continue to support clinical care and safeguard China's healthcare system.

The WHO director-general commented on the travel restrictions & guidelines issued by various nations around the world for travellers from China, saying that it is acceptable that these measures are being taken because China has not provided an adequate amount of information regarding the outbreak.
