Chennai, July 3: Residents in several parts of Chennai will experience a scheduled power shutdown on Friday, July 3, 2026, as the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation (TNPDCL) undertakes routine maintenance work. The power interruption is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, though electricity may be restored earlier if maintenance is completed ahead of schedule.

Why is there a power cut today?
