To make travel easier for people attending singer Vijay Antony's concert at the YMCA Grounds in Nandanam on June 13, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has announced special sponsored Metro passes for concert-goers.

Chennai Metro Free Tickets for Vijay Antony's Concert
According to CMRL, the concert ticket itself will also work as a Metro ticket. Event organisers will send these tickets, which contain unique QR codes, to attendees through a mobile app. These QR-code tickets can be used for Metro travel and will be valid for one round trip on the day of the concert.
How will this Initiative Benefit Passengers?
This initiative aims to provide a smooth and convenient travel experience for visitors and encourage the use of public transport instead of private vehicles. Concert attendees can simply use their event ticket to travel to and from the venue without purchasing a separate Metro ticket.
To handle the expected rush after the concert ends, CMRL has also decided to extend Metro services from Nandanam Metro Station. The last train on Corridor 1 heading towards Wimco Nagar Depot and the Airport will depart from Nandanam station at 12 midnight. This special arrangement will help passengers return home comfortably after the event.
Advisory for Visitors
Passengers travelling towards destinations on the Green Line can change trains at Chennai Central Metro Station, an interchange point between the two corridors.
CMRL has also advised passengers to arrive on time, as entry to Nandanam Metro Station will be closed 10 minutes before the departure of each train. This measure has been introduced to ensure smooth crowd management and safe operations during the post-concert rush.
