Several parts of Bhopal will face scheduled power cuts on May 6, 2026, due to maintenance and repair work being carried out by the electricity department. The outages are expected to last between two and seven hours in different localities across the city.
Residents living in Ayodhya Nagar, Saket Nagar, Katara Hills, Kolua, Panchavati, Patel Nagar, Bagh Mugalia, Malikhedi and several nearby areas have been advised to prepare in advance as electricity supply will remain temporarily suspended during the scheduled maintenance period.
The department stated that the shutdown is necessary for regular maintenance work and infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving electricity distribution and reducing future disruptions.
