Residents in several parts of Bhopal are likely to experience scheduled power cuts on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as the electricity department undertakes planned maintenance and line upgradation work across the city. According to the announced schedule, more than 43 localities will be affected, with outages ranging from three to six hours, depending on the nature of the maintenance work.
Officials said maintenance activities will begin at 10:00 AM in most locations and continue until 4:00 PM. The temporary shutdowns are being carried out to improve the reliability of the electricity distribution network.
Major Areas Affected
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Power supply will remain suspended in:
- Sehore Naka
- Municipal Corporation Complex
- Station Road
- Seva Sadan
- T. Ward
- Santji Kutiya
The shutdown has been scheduled for line maintenance.
10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The following localities are expected to witness a four-hour outage:
- Technology Park
- A-Sector
- Muskan Parishad
- Muskan Hospital
- Sagar Avenue
- Sindhu Park
- Bhawani Dham Phase I & II
- Sunita Tower
- Bonnie Foy School
- Santoshi Vihar
- ISRO Guest House
- Narela Shankari
The maintenance work includes high-speed electrical connection work and NHAI-related activities.
Power supply will also remain affected during the same period in:
- New Meenal
- Mowgli Park
- Meenal D, E and F Sectors
The outage here has been scheduled for HT connection work and NHAI-related maintenance.
Additional areas facing power interruptions between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM include:
- Durga Nagar
- CNG Petrol Pump area
- Rachana Petrol Pump and surrounding localities
- Rohit Nagar Phase-II
- Sapphire
- Akriti Retreat
- World Way School
- Shubhalya Vihar
These areas will undergo routine line maintenance.
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Residents around the State Hangar Airport and Airport Triangle will experience a six-hour power cut due to scheduled line maintenance.
12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Power supply will remain interrupted in:
- Anshul Vihar
- Vandana Homes
- Mount Carmel School
- Windsor Arraliya
- Elegant
- Suraksha Enclave
- Windsor Palms
- Inayatpur Pump House
- HT Connection area
- Vatika Heritage and nearby localities
The shutdown has also been planned for routine line maintenance.
Advisory for Residents
With maintenance work scheduled across multiple parts of the city, residents are advised to charge essential electronic devices in advance and plan activities that require uninterrupted electricity.
Businesses and commercial establishments in the affected areas should also make necessary backup arrangements.
Power supply is expected to be restored once the maintenance work is completed. However, restoration timings may vary depending on the progress of the scheduled work.
