Bhankrota Flyover Opens on March 25, Easing Jaipur-Kishangarh Highway Traffic

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is opening the Bhankrota flyover on the Jaipur-Kishangarh highway on March 25, 2025. This much-awaited development will help reduce traffic congestion and improve the daily commute for thousands of travelers. Earlier, people faced long delays of up to 20 minutes during rush hours, but with the new flyover, traffic will move more smoothly.

A Project Completed on Priority

The construction of the Bhankrota flyover was given top priority after a tragic LPG tanker explosion in December, which resulted in 20 fatalities. To ensure the project was completed on time, NHAI introduced traffic diversions on Ajmer Road. The Rajasthan High Court also directed NHAI to finish the flyover by April 1, 2025, preventing further delays.

Solving Traffic Problems in Bhankrota

Bhankrota has seen rapid residential development, leading to increased traffic congestion-especially during morning and evening rush hours. The flyover will help ease the movement of both local and heavy traffic, including cars, buses, and two-wheelers.

The Jaipur-Kishangarh Highway is one of the busiest highways in India, covering 90 kilometers and carrying around 1.25 lakh passenger car units (PCUs) daily. To manage this heavy traffic, NHAI has been working on several infrastructure improvements. The construction of flyovers at major junctions is a key part of this effort to improve road conditions.

Flyover Projects for Better Connectivity

Over the past four years, NHAI has built nine flyovers at important locations along this highway, including:

- Heerapura
- Narsinghpura
- Dahmikalan
- Mahlan
- Gadota
- Mokhampura
- Savarda
- Padasoli
- Bandar Sindri

With the completion of the Bhankrota flyover, NHAI has successfully addressed all 10 black spots on this route. This marks a major milestone in improving road safety and reducing travel delays.

Ensuring Safe and Smooth Travel

NHAI project director Ajay Arya confirmed that the flyover is complete and currently under review before its official opening. "Once all parameters are checked, it will be open to the public tomorrow," he stated. The final inspection ensures that the flyover meets all safety and quality standards before allowing vehicles to pass.

With the Bhankrota flyover opening, commuters in Jaipur and nearby areas can expect a faster, safer, and more efficient travel experience. This project not only reduces congestion and travel time but also enhances road safety for everyone.

The completion of the Bhankrota flyover on the Jaipur-Kishangarh highway is a major achievement for NHAI and road development in Rajasthan. By fixing major traffic bottlenecks and ensuring smooth movement of vehicles, this flyover improves daily commuting and makes travel easier for both locals and long-distance travelers. The project reflects NHAI's commitment to modernizing India's highways and supporting the country's growing transportation needs.
