Living in Bengaluru comes with its perks, but the bustling city is also notorious for its traffic snarls, earning it the title of one of India's most congested cities. Known as the 'corporate capital,' Bengaluru hosts numerous corporate offices, making traffic management a daily concern for its residents. Keeping a keen eye on traffic advisories issued by the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) is a common practice for those navigating the city's roads, aiming to dodge the notorious gridlocks.

If you're in Bengaluru or planning to be in the city this weekend, here's an important update for you. A traffic advisory has been issued for Sunday, February 25, due to the Samvidhana Jagruthi Jatha. This advisory aims to guide commuters and avoid potential traffic snarls, particularly in the vicinity of the Palace Grounds, where the Jatha is scheduled to take place.
To circumvent potential congestion on Ballari Road and the surrounding areas, the Bengaluru Traffic Advisory recommends the following precautions:
1. Ballari Road Restrictions:
- All commuters, excluding visitors of the Samvidhana Jagruthi Jatha, are prohibited from using Ballari Road from Hebbal to the Mehkri Circle.
2. Jayamahal Road Closures:
- Commuters are restricted from traveling on Jayamahal Road from Mehkri Circle to Cantonment Road. Travelers, excluding visitors, are advised to avoid the Yeshwantpur-Mehkri Road as well.
3. Parking Prohibitions:
- Parking is strictly prohibited on Jayamahal, Nandidurga, Taralabalu, and Ballari Roads. Additionally, parking is not allowed from Mehkri Circle to Yeshwantpur Road.
4. Heavy Vehicle Restrictions:
- Heavy vehicles are explicitly prohibited at the Hebbal, CMTI, Govardhan Theatre, and NICE Road junctions.

These measures are in place to streamline traffic flow during the Samvidhana Jagruthi Jatha event. To facilitate smooth proceedings, there is a parking prohibition in the surrounding areas of the venue, Palace Grounds.
As always, staying updated with such traffic advisories ensures a hassle-free commute, especially during events that might cause temporary disruptions. Bengaluru residents and visitors alike are urged to plan their routes accordingly, steering clear of the restricted zones mentioned in the advisory.
Your cooperation in adhering to the traffic guidelines not only ensures a smoother experience for you but also contributes to the overall success of managing traffic in our vibrant city. Stay informed, plan ahead, and enjoy a stress-free journey through the streets of Bengaluru.
