Bengaluru is also expected to witness thundershowers for the next two days, which may bring temporary relief from the recent heat. Heavy rain is likely in many areas of South Interior Karnataka, especially in districts such as Kodagu and Shivamogga. The department also stated that coastal districts, including Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, are expected to experience thunderstorms with wind speeds between 30 and 40 kmph. However, dry weather is likely to continue in the Uttara Kannada district.

In north interior Karnataka, districts including Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, and Haveri may experience thunderstorms accompanied by stronger winds of around 40 to 50 kmph. Meanwhile, districts in the southern interior region, such as Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar, are also likely to receive rainfall and thunderstorms.

Dakshina Kannada district is also expected to receive heavy rainfall during this period. Authorities have advised residents to stay alert and take safety measures, especially in areas prone to waterlogging, strong winds, or tree falls.
