Residents of Bengaluru and nearby regions are advised to prepare for scheduled power outages on Thursday, July 24, as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) undertakes quarterly maintenance work. The planned activity will affect multiple power distribution zones, and BESCOM has requested public cooperation to ensure smooth execution of these essential upgrades.

On July 23, power will be cut off from 10 AM to 5 PM in several districts because of maintenance at the Brigade Meadows Power Distribution Center. The areas affected include Bhairasandra, Hosapallya, MLA Garden, Banjarapalya, Agar, Karadigudda, Siddanapalya, Abhaya College, Valley School, Peacock House, Saludoddi, Tataguni Colony, Lakshmipur, Saludoddi Gate, Navagrama, Vaderahalli, Chowdeshwari Nagar, Tataguni, Ramachandrappa Layout, Kaveri Nagar, Ramesh Nagar, and Saluhunase.
In addition, outages have been confirmed for Badekatte, Uttari, Thimmegowdanpalya, Dinnepalya, Udipalya, Basappanapalya, B.M. Kaval, and O.B. Choodahalli. The Mantri Premise and Brigade Meadows will also be affected
Impact on Villages in Achchalu Panchayat
Villages within the Achchalu Panchayat will experience power disruptions due to maintenance at the 66/11 KV Achchalu and Honniganahalli substations on the Kanakapura T.K. Halli Line-3. The power cut will last from 10 AM to 4 PM in Honni-Ganahalli, Sathanur, Kadahalli, Bommanahalli, and Arekatte-Doddi, with Thotahalli also impacted.
Planned Power Cuts for July 24
On July 24, as part of BESCOM's rural maintenance efforts, several regions will experience power outages. These areas include Tailagere, Bidalur, Yaliyur, Koramangala, and Gobbaragunte in the Kundana Gram Panchayat, along with the Bengaluru Rural DC Office, Ravindra Nagar, Sannaamanikere, Hiranandani residential layouts in Devanahalli town, and villages such as Gokare, Bhuvanahalli, Chimachanahalli, Kannamangala, Yartiganahalli, Koyira, and nearby regions, including Aluru-Duddanahalli. Areas near Kundana Substation, such as Koyira Gram Panchayat, Bommawara, Santosh Nagar, Prashanath Nagar, Chikkasanne, Avati, and Vishwanathapura, will also be affected.
BESCOM has requested the cooperation of all residents in the affected areas, emphasizing that this maintenance is crucial for maintaining a reliable power supply in the future. The department advises checking for local updates before scheduling any activities that may require power during the outage periods.
