Residents of Harihar should prepare for a scheduled power outage on August 6, as announced by BESCOM.

The electricity supply will be interrupted from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to facilitate essential maintenance work, which is intended to improve the reliability and stability of power services in the future. However, this may lead to temporary inconvenience during the affected hours.
The power cut will impact multiple areas, including:
- Old P.B. Road
- Bharampur
- Key public zones such as the railway station and bus stand
- PWD Office
- BESCOM Office
- Bathi Shivanagappa Compound
- Tahsildar's Office
- Nadbandh Shavali Dargah
Residents and businesses in these localities are advised to plan ahead and make necessary arrangements, especially those who rely on uninterrupted electricity for daily operations or work-related tasks.
Bengaluru Weather Update: Rainy Week Ahead with Mild Temperatures
Bengaluru is set to experience a predominantly rainy week, with daytime temperatures expected to remain between 28°C and 29°C, while nighttime lows may drop to around 20°C. Between August 6 and 10, the city will witness partly to mostly cloudy skies, accompanied by occasional rain or thundershowers.
Rain activity is likely to increase on August 11 and 12, with steady showers forecasted for both days. Fortunately, no official weather warnings have been issued, offering relief to residents planning outdoor activities during this period.
Meanwhile, in Harihar, scheduled maintenance work in Unit-2 sub-division will lead to a five-hour power outage, a move aimed at enhancing the reliability of electricity supply and reducing the chances of unplanned disruptions in the future.
As Bengaluru prepares for consistent rainfall, the lack of severe weather alerts means residents can go about their daily routines with minimal disruption, though carrying an umbrella may be a smart choice.
