Bengaluru residents in several parts of the city have been alerted about a scheduled power interruption on Thursday, September 3. Electricity supply will be affected for around four hours, from 12 noon to 4 pm, due to maintenance work. KPTCL and BESCOM will maintain and improve the electricity network.
Bengaluru Power Cut on September 3: Areas to be Affected
Several areas in and around HBR Layout will be affected. These include the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Blocks of HBR Layout, HBR Arkavathi Layout and areas around HBR Signal Road. Power supply will also be disrupted in Yasin Nagar, Teachers Colony, Krishna Reddy Layout, Inayat Nagar, Ganesh Temple Road, KG Halli, Vinobha Nagar, Lidkar Colony and Jal Vayu Vihar.
In the Kammanahalli-Lingarajapuram area, the affected locations include Kammanahalli Main Road, Ramaiah Layout, Keerthi Layout, Lingarajapuram Village, Janakiram Layout, BDA Layout, CMR Road, Thomas Road, Indra Street, AK Colony and Sangolli Rayanna Road.
Residents of Hennur and Thanisandra will also experience the interruption. The affected areas include Govindapura Main Road, Rashad Nagar, Telecom Layout, Prakruthi Layout, Hennur, Nagadevi Industries, Nehru Road, Mangala Layout, Oil Mill Road, BMTC Nehru Road and BR 2nd Block.
The power cut will further cover Nagawara Main Road, BBR Nagar, Kaveri Nagar, Shirdi Sai Nagar, BDS Nagar, Nanda Gokula Layout, Saraipalya, Vinayaka Nagar, Ashwath Nagar, Anamika Enclave and nearby parts of Thanisandra.
People working from home, students, shop owners and others who depend on electricity are advised to complete important work in advance and keep devices charged before the scheduled outage.
