Bengaluru's Namma Metro has received the 15th and final trainset for the upcoming Yellow Line, marking another important milestone before the corridor becomes fully operational, according to officials of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

The 19.15-km Yellow Line will connect R.V. Road to Bommasandra via Electronics City, improving connectivity for thousands of commuters travelling to the city's major IT and industrial hubs.
The latest driverless train, consisting of six coaches, arrived at the Hebbagodi depot on Monday morning. It was transported from Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL) in West Bengal, which is manufacturing the trains in partnership with the Chinese company CRRC. After reaching the depot, the coaches were unloaded from trailers and will now undergo the necessary inspections and testing before being put into service.
With the arrival of the final trainset, BMRCL now has all 15 trains required for the Yellow Line. Officials said this is a significant step towards completing preparations for the launch of the corridor. Several of the trainsets have already been commissioned and are undergoing trial runs and other technical tests to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.

The Yellow Line is expected to provide faster and more convenient travel between south Bengaluru and Electronics City, one of India's biggest technology hubs. Once operational, it is likely to reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion and encourage more people to use public transport instead of private vehicles. Before commercial services begin, the trains and signalling systems will continue to undergo final testing and approvals from the relevant authorities.
The arrival of the last trainset is considered a major milestone in the completion of the Yellow Line project, bringing Bengaluru one step closer to expanding its metro network and improving urban transport for daily commuters.
