Bengaluru's Namma Metro Yellow Line has received its 10th train, which is expected to improve operations by increasing the train frequency and reducing waiting time for passengers.

Bengaluru Metro's 10th Train
At present, several trains are already running on the Yellow Line, while a few are undergoing testing. With the arrival of the 10th train, metro authorities are preparing to strengthen operations and handle the growing number of passengers using this route. The new train has been delivered to the depot and is expected to be added to regular service soon.
Bengaluru Metro's Yellow Line
The Yellow Line connects key areas of south Bengaluru, including major residential and industrial hubs like Electronic City. Since its launch, the line has seen strong demand from daily commuters, especially IT professionals. However, limited train frequency has been a concern, leading to longer waiting times during peak hours.
Officials have said that once all 10 trains are operational, the frequency of metro services will improve significantly, reducing the waiting time. Moreover, metro authorities aim for a breakdown peak-hour frequency of just a few minutes, making travel faster and more convenient.
How will this Addition Help?
The Yellow Line runs between RV Road and Bommasandra and plays a crucial role in easing traffic congestion on busy roads like Hosur Road. The addition of more trains is expected to further support this goal by encouraging more people to use public transport instead of private vehicles.
