Bengaluru Metro's Green Line Got Disrupted Due to a Technical Issue

According to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the disruption was caused by a technical issue on the Green Line. As a result, trains ran behind schedule, leading to overcrowding at several stations during the busy office rush. Many passengers were forced to wait longer than usual, while platforms became crowded as commuters struggled to board delayed trains.

Passengers' Raised Complaints

Several passengers took to social media to complain about the delays and the lack of timely updates from metro authorities. Many said they were late for work and questioned the reliability of Namma Metro, especially after multiple service interruptions on different lines over the past few weeks. Commuters also urged BMRCL to improve communication by providing regular announcements and real-time updates during service disruptions.

BMRCL's Measure to Resolve the Issues

BMRCL officials said technical teams worked quickly to resolve the problem and restore normal operations. Services gradually returned to normal after the fault was rectified. However, the incident once again highlighted the need for stronger maintenance and better operational planning to avoid repeated breakdowns during peak travel hours.
The latest disruption comes after a series of recent metro glitches, including train door malfunctions and other technical faults that have affected services on different corridors. These repeated issues have raised concerns among regular commuters, who depend on the metro for their daily travel across Bengaluru.

With daily ridership continuing to grow, passengers are expecting a more reliable and efficient metro service. Many commuters have urged BMRCL to strengthen maintenance systems and ensure smoother operations to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
