Ayodhya, a sacred city in India, is known for its rich history and spiritual significance. Its beautiful ghats along the Saryu River attract visitors for serene walks and peaceful moments. In an exciting turn of events, Ayodhya is on the brink of acquiring its very own beach, adding a vibrant touch to the sacred city's landscape. The Uttar Pradesh Housing Department has given the green signal to a proposal presented by the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) to create a chowpatty along the banks of the Saryu River at Ram Ki Paidi.

The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) is in charge of executing this ambitious project, which aims to enhance the beauty and charm of the city. The ADA has already started working on setting up temporary structures, food carts, and shaded areas at Ram Ki Paidi, where people can sit and relax. A senior officer from the ADA said, "We want to make Ram Ki Paidi a place where people can have fun and feel happy. We are taking care of every detail, from hygiene to quality, to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
The ADA's vision for Ram Ki Paidi is to transform it into a lively space, offering an array of hygienically prepared food items. The authority is actively working on setting up multiple temporary structures and designated zones for food carts at this picturesque location. A senior officer from the ADA expressed, "The idea is to create multiple temporary structures, zones for housing food carts, and covered spots under canopies or pergolas at Ram Ki Paidi." The focus is on ensuring hygiene and quality in every aspect, evident in the meticulous preparations underway.
To kickstart this transformative journey, a tender has been floated for construction at the site, with the selected agency having a six-month window to complete the civil works. Following this phase, the space will be allocated to food vendors, breathing life into the newly envisioned chowpatty.
Reports indicate that the project has been allocated a budget of approximately INR 4.66 crore, covering a spectrum of essential aspects, including basic infrastructure, sanitation, electrification, firefighting, water supply, parking zones, horticulture, and a paved entry route. Beyond the structural elements, the selected contractor will be tasked with providing seating capacity for a minimum of 50 individuals, ensuring a comfortable riverside experience for visitors.
This initiative is part of a broader plan by the civic body in Ayodhya to enrich recreational spaces along the Saryu River, with the transformation of one bank into a lively 'chowpatty.' The approval from the Uttar Pradesh Housing Department and the proactive measures taken by the ADA position Ram Ki Paidi to become a vibrant addition to Ayodhya's landscape. This upcoming chowpatty promises both locals and visitors a delightful waterfront experience, resonating with the city's cultural and spiritual heritage.
