Ahmedabad is all set to welcome Gujarat's first and India's second-largest theme park, Imagicca. This new landmark of fun and excitement marks the introduction of Imagicca, a world-class entertainment theme park, expanding beyond its initial location at Khopoli on the Mumbai-Pune highway. Spanning 4.56 hectares at the eastern end of Atal Bridge along the Sabarmati riverfront, this addition aims to become a prominent attraction in India.

This big project, led by Pune's Imagicca World in partnership with the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation (SRFDCL), will cover a large area of 45,000 square meters (4.56 hectares) at the eastern end of Atal Bridge on the Sabarmati riverfront. The project has already received formal approval from both parties, and construction will start once the National Green Tribunal (NGT) gives its clearance. This is expected to happen in the next 3 to 4 months.
Exciting Attractions and Features
The park will cater to visitors of all ages, blending indoor and outdoor attractions. Key highlights include:
- Thrilling Rides: Visitors can enjoy a Ferris wheel, Drop Tower, and Flying Carousel Ride.
- Green Spaces: Tiered promenades and lush parks will offer a peaceful environment for relaxation.
- Food Plazas: A variety of cuisines will be available at vibrant food courts.
- Children's Play Area: A safe and fun space for younger visitors to enjoy.

Project Development
The theme park is a collaboration between Pune's Imagicaa World and the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation (SRFDCL). With a budget of ₹300 crores, the project is awaiting approval from the National Green Tribunal (NGT). Once approved, construction will begin within 3-4 months, with the first phase expected to be completed in 8-10 months.
The park will be developed in two phases, ensuring a mix of thrilling rides, a snow park, and dining options. The land for the project has been leased for 30 years at an annual rent of ₹45.60 lakhs, increasing by 10% each year. Additionally, Imagicaa will contribute 12.25% of its annual earnings to SRFDCL.
Boosting Ahmedabad's Tourism
Ahmedabad attracts 3 million visitors annually to Atal Bridge. The new theme park aims to encourage tourists to extend their stay by offering a unique entertainment destination. Municipal Commissioner M. Thennarsan highlighted the park's role in providing a fun space for locals and visitors alike.
Future Expansion Plans
Imagicaa Group plans to open one theme park every year for the next five years, targeting Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities. After Ahmedabad, a new park is planned for Indore with a ₹200 crore investment.
A Promising Entertainment Hub
The Imagicaa theme park promises to transform Ahmedabad into a vibrant hub for entertainment, leisure, and tourism. With its diverse attractions and strategic collaborations, the park is set to offer unforgettable experiences for families and thrill-seekers.
