Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express: The Railway Board has Made Changes to its Operations

The Railway Board has approved important changes for the Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express in Gujarat. The train will no longer start and end at Ahmedabad railway station. Instead, its terminal station has been shifted to Sabarmati Junction. After this change, the service will be known as the Sabarmati-Okha Vande Bharat Express. Along with the terminal shift, the train will also get a new halt at Ambli Road station. It will run six days a week, with no service on Tuesday. The Vande Bharat train has AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car coaches for passengers.Revised Timings and StoppagesAs per the revised schedule, train number 22925 will leave Sabarmati at 6:15 am and reach Okha at 1:20 pm. On the return journey, train number 22926 will depart from Okha at 4:45 pm and arrive at Sabarmati at 11:15 pm.The revised stoppage list now includes eight stations between Sabarmati and Okha. These are Ambli Road, Sanand, Viramgam, Surendranagar, Wankaner, Rajkot, Jamnagar, and Dwarka. The addition of Ambli Road is expected to improve access for passengers living in or travelling from suburban parts of Ahmedabad.Reason behind the Revised Operations of Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat ExpressThis change is part of a Railway Board decision issued to Western Railway. The Board approved the change in terminal station, timings, days of run, and the new halt at Ambli Road.
