Several airports across India received bomb threats on June 18 (Tuesday). The affected airports include major ones such as the capital city Delhi, Bihar's capital Patna, Vadodara in Gujarat, Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, Maharashtra's capital Mumbai, Coimbatore, and a total of 40 airports in total.

Following these threats, security measures were immediately heightened at all the airports. Authorities are conducting thorough checks of every part of the airports to ensure safety. These threatening emails have also caused delays in several flights, leading to inconvenience for passengers.
According to a report by the Times of India, preliminary investigations revealed that an unknown individual sent a threatening email to 40 airports across the country at around 12:40 PM. A similar email was received earlier in the morning, which led to the delay of a flight from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) to Dubai. Later, an Emirates flight from Chennai Airport to Dubai was delayed by about two hours due to a similar bomb threat email.
Coimbatore International Airport also received a threatening email. After this threat, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), along with a sniffer dog squad, conducted a thorough check of the airport premises. They concluded that it was a false alarm. The threatening email stated, "Bombs have been placed at the airport and can explode at any time." Coimbatore Airport Director S. Senthil Valavan told the media that they are on high alert and taking all necessary precautionary measures. He also clarified that the bomb threat email had no impact on flight services.
Later in the day, Patna Airport received a similar threatening email. The director of Patna Airport mentioned that investigations are ongoing, and they are awaiting further information. After Jaipur Airport received a similar email, security agencies were alerted, and they began investigations. The police reported that after a thorough check, nothing suspicious was found. Vadodara Airport also received a threat in the afternoon, which prompted an investigation by the airport authority, concluding that the bomb threat was a false alarm. However, for the safety of passengers and staff, all airports remain on high alert.
A thorough investigation was carried out at Jaipur Airport after the bomb threat was received on Tuesday. Police and CISF searched the airport premises following the management receiving the bomb threat email. Later, the police stated, "The airport was thoroughly checked, but nothing suspicious has been found so far." Security was also heightened at Vadodara Airport after authorities received a bomb threat in the afternoon.
A probe has been launched to track down the person who sent the threat email. Vadodara Cyber Crime is currently tracing the source of the email. Authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and airport staff while they continue their investigation into the threats.
