Dudhsagar waterfalls – the very name of this alluring falls translates to mean a sea of milk and it is aptly called so, for it simply seems like it's milk and not water that's cascading down those rocks. Located in-between Karnataka-Goa Border, about 72 km away from Panaji and set amidst an extremely beautiful spot, it is a major tourist attraction in the area.
Associated Legend
According to a legend, it is believed that a pretty princess lived in a palace within a forest close by Dudhsagar and enjoyed taking bath in a lake located close by and would drink sweetened milk in her golden jug after her bath. Meanwhile, she noticed that a prince was watching her bathe which embarrassed her, and to prevent him from seeing her, she poured milk from her jug to form a curtain that prevented him from seeing her.
