Rishikesh railway station, situated at a distance of 221 km from Kedarnath is the nearest railhead. Travellers can avail prepaid taxis from the railway station to Kedarnath. The initial distance of 207 km is covered easily by taxis while travellers are required to cover the remaining 14 km on foot to reach Kedarnath.
