Kasol holds a nice climate for several months of the year. December to February sees snowfall and attracts a fair amount of tourists who like snow sports. Its climate is described as humid subtropical means hot and humid summers and cool to mild winters. Summers are typically long, hot, and humid with temperatures ranging between 24 and 27 °C (75 and 81 °F)

How to Reach Kasol-

Kasol is a beautiful part of the Kullu district that's why reaching here from kullu is easy. Besides, there are two ways to reach Kasol either by car or by train. The distance from kullu station to Kasol is 21 km, and it takes 1.30 hrs to reach Kasol via taxi. It might cost ₹600- ₹700. Taking the bus is another option but it will take 3 hrs to reach Kasol then. So if you have time and desire to admire the way packed with lush greenery opt for the bus from Kullu.

As Kasol has no railway station, tourists need to take the train from Kullu to the nearest railway station from Kasol, which is Joginder Nagar railway station. This small station is 144 km away from the village of Kasol. From there you can hire a cab to the main village of Kasol.

There are many small to medium size hotels in and around Kasol that would cost from ₹1000 to ₹6000, depending on the location. Riverside hotels are comparatively expensive. 

Best Time to Visit Kasol- 

One of the best and ideal summer destinations, the weather of Kasol always remains pleasant during this season. Winters are, however, freezing as the region experiences snowfall from December to January. The months of November, December, January, and February are ideal for snow skiing.

The best time to visit this hill station is from March to October. To enjoy outdoor activities and sightseeing, the period between March and June is considered to be perfect while the months of October and November are ideal for river rafting, rock climbing, hiking, and trekking.

This small station is 144 km away from the village of Kasol. From there you can hire a cab to the main village of Kasol. Taking a bus from the Joginder Nagar Bus Stand to Manikaran is also an option that takes about 4.5 to 5 hours to reach Kasol. Joginder Nagar is the nearest railway station to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh. Taking Trains from Chandigarh Railway station is also very common among tourists. Chandigarh is 296 km from Kasol. After reaching Chandigarh, tourists can take a bus to Manali or hire a cab to Kasol, which might take about 8 to 9 hours.

    Bhuntar Airport or the Kullu Manali Airport in Kullu district is the nearest airport to Kasol. Bhuntar Airport is 31 km from Kasol, so it will take about 1 hour to reach there. Tourists from other countries can take a flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. From there, they can take the bus or hire a cab. The journey might take 11-12 hours to cover 540 km. Taking another flight from IGI Airport to Bhuntar and reaching Kasol is also an option.
